Parent Education Group
A group of parents wanting to raise confident, capable, and caring children meet weekly to discuss current parenting related challenges. The group provides opportunities for parents to share their successes and failures, explore different approaches/techniques, receive support from others in the same situation, as well as, work together to become respectful and responsible parents.
Topics include:
- Communicating so your children will listen
- Effective use of encouragement rather than praise
- Understand birth order and how to parent each child
- Identify goals of misbehaviour
- Implement natural and logical consequences
- Difference between discipline and punishment
